Today I saw the first screenshots of something that should have been on the DS a long time ago; Sim City DS! And what’s even better is that it looks fantastic and features Will Wright himself as your guide.

I still fondly remember Sim City on the SNES. At the time the concept was so new and fresh that it took me awhile to figure out what I was even supposed to do. But after I realized that building and maintaining a little city could be fun, I was hooked. The latest Sim City games have gotten a little to in-depth for me, but I still enjoy them from time to time. Heck, in Sim City 4 people are even working to recreate NYC down to the last taxi cab. Crazy.

Anyway, I can’t wait to get my hands on Sim City for the DS. This is the perfect kind of portable game… one that you can pick up and play for a little while, but can also spend hours with. And if they implement some WiFi functionality that will be even cooler. Let’s hope EA hurries up and announces that they are bring it stateside, along with the adorable new Sims game.
