Determined to bring back the former Nintendo Power mascot for one last hurrah, Artist Joe Haley (Mr DNA) has drawn Nester into another video game adventure. His old partner, Howard, is noticeably absent, but not without a replacement!
Since I’ve been playing a whole lotta Portrait of Ruin, I thought it’d be a good idea to make a Nester comic since [the game] features a partner system. The sensible Charlotte made a good stand-in for Howard, which is nice since I didn’t feel like drawing him in a dress. Nester takes over for Jonathan, says some really awful one-liners, and I give you, the readers, an actual game tip!
Lest you fear that this tribute completely bastardizes the original, he made sure to keep the style and corniness intact. Fans of the bygone comic will appreciate this nostalgic piece.
