We’ve all heard the stories. Some guy swings his Wiimote too hard and it suddenly slips out of his hand. Good thing he has his wrist strap on right? It would be, but with the amount of force put on the Wiimote, the wrist strap snaps and goes flying into outerspace. All of a sudden, walls get damaged, television sets get broken, babies start crying, and that chicken you left in the oven is starting to burn. In case you can’t see how this might happen, here is a nice little comic that explains it all.

Well Nintendo has listened the masses and they have responded. The BBC reports that Nintendo is issuing a worldwide recall for 3.2 million Wii wrist straps. On top of that, 200,000 AC adapters for the Japanese DS and DS Lites are being recalled as well. There isn’t any information on how to actually return these items yet but it shouldn’t be too long until we find out. Anyways, if we have to send our Wii straps back before we can get new ones, the time in between may prove to be quite interesting. There will suddenly be three million Wiimotes without wriststraps to hold them back! So stay tuned, because as soon as we get more information, we’ll let you guys know.
