Hello Player 1

Now that the dust of Wii’s NA/Jp launch is starting to settle, it’s high time we weighed in on the games that are receiving our sweet rebel love. Do any of us like Red Steel? Has Edgar taken a break from his board games to make room for Wii? Is Rumas secretly obsessed with Piantas?? Find out below, and don’t forget to let us know what’s keeping you busy

Bombs:
Hotel Dusk – I just finished the main game, now to complete a few sidequests! Overall, it was an amazing game. I loved nearly every minute of it.
Picross DS – Even though it has a few problems, I’m having some fun with this title. It has a certain style and it is fairly fun.
Burnout Revenge (360) – Fantastic title. This could easily be my handheld game of the year. It is a strategy RPG from the people who made Riviera. The gameplay is addictive and the storyline is interesting. Atlus did a great job on localization.
Sonic The Hedgehog (360) – Fantastic title. This could easily be my handheld game of the year. It is a strategy RPG from the people who made Riviera. The gameplay is addictive and the storyline is interesting. Atlus did a great job on localization.
Gongonzabar Farbin:
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey – This has to be the best Zelda so far, it’s just too bad it had been delayed so many times. I finished it last week and am now trying to finish up the various sidequests and gather all the missing upgrades.
Greg:
I have been playing Wii Sports more than anything. Even more than Zelda. I should be ashamed. Aside from that I have been playing some Bomberman ’93, Golden Axe, and Bonk’s Adventure. Oh, and playing Super Mario 64 because I like to make myself angry playing what I consider to be the hardest game in existence.
Edgar:
When I’m not playing Zelda TP, I’m usually playing Rayman or Wii Sports.
On the DS front, I’m playing Magical Starsign.
Michael Tucker:
Zelda – Somehow I have managed to defy the laws of physics and common sense and have amassed well over 40 hours in this game already. Did I mention that I’ve been finishing up the last weeks of school at the same time? I’m pretty sure I’m gonna get Game Over in one of these areas, but I doubt it’ll be Zelda.
At least I love the game dearly.
Drew Kora:
Contact – I just picked this one up and haven’t had time to get into it yet. I plan to delve into it when I’m waiting in line for my Wii tomorrow night at Wal Mart. It was a tough call between this and FF3, but since I havne’t been into RPGs for a long time I figured Contact was a better choice to reaquaint me with the genre.
Trauma Center: Under the Knife – I love this game (especially since I learned the two styli method), but I’ve been playing it forever so I’m ready to be done with it. I have so little time for gaming that it’s tough to devote the concentration to the gameplay or the attention to the story this game deserves. I need to get a DS game I can just sit down and play….so why the heck did I buy Contact?
Benny:
I’m determined to get through Twilight Princess before I start any other games with storylines in them (which means FF12, Bully, and Okami have been put on the back burner). I’m also playing ExciteTruck, Rayman, and Wii Sports. I just picked up Viva Pinata for the 360, and I gotta say, it brings a bit of the old Rare magic back. If you’re thinking about getting it, it’s like Pokemon, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon had a baby… and the results are quite good.
Vinnk:
WarioWare Smooth Moves — It is so insanely great! This is likely the best WarioWare game. More impressions coming soon.
Hajimete no Wii (Wii Play) — This game is great for when I have a friend over as the games are so simple to pick up and play. Quite boring alone, though. This game was about $40 with a controller, and the controller alone is just a little bit cheaper, so it was essentially like $8. It’s worth every penny, but I think I would be really dissapointed had I paid full price for it.
Rumas:
I won’t be able to touch my Wii for another week, but that hasn’t stopped me from having fun. I’ve been hitting up some great 8/16-bit classics lately — SMB, SMB3, Yoshi’s Island, and Punch-Out!! – in addition to rediscovering Super Mario Sunshine. I got my 112th Shine Sprite yesterday, and I’m determined to find every last one before getting my Wii on next week. I’ll never understand the contempt some people have for the title — I say it’s the finest 3D platformer of all time, and it makes me feel like I’m on vacation. Happy Make!!
