Japanese Girls Love it Berry Much

During Tokyo game show I posted about how I predicted that the game Love and Berry was going to be a huge hit for the DS. I said it might become Japans next million seller and only the second million seller not produced by Nintendo (Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omisetchi was the first). Turns out I was right. Love and Berry had over 1 million pre-orders! That is more than any other DS title. The game officially went on sale 2 days ago and it was pandemonium! Every game store in my town was swamped with little girls dragging their reluctant parents out in the rain to buy them this game. The little girl gamers have spoken and in a big way. Don’t be surprised if we see a lot more of these type of games in the near future. Here’s an interesting fact. In all the years SEGA has been in business it has only produced 2 games that sold over 1 million copies in Japan. Virtua Fighter 2 and Love and Berry.
