Hey, you got some PSP in my DS! The DS nearly took all ten spots this week, but fell just one slot short. Kirby’s newest game is off to a good start and the General Knowledge love continues. In the hardware arena, the Xbox drops to zero again. However, The Xbox 360 has one of its best weeks yet due to the release of the Core package.

PS2 – 235,000 (35,023,000)
Xbox360 – 218,000 (2,889,000)

PSP – 130,000 (5,298,000)
GC – 32,000 (11,350,000)
Xbox – 3,500 (14,476,000)

The software market was down this month, as you can tell by the fairly low sales across the board. The DS still managed to snag two slots in the top ten. The DS continues to dominate in hardware sales, moving over 100,000 more units than the PS2.

Next month should be very interesting. One GAF member summarized it very well in this trailer.

UK Software (October 29 – November 4)
1. Need for Speed: Carbon
2. Pro Evolution Soccer 6
3. FIFA 2007
4. The Sims 2: Pets
5. Bully
6. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
7. Football Manager 2007
8. Splinter Cell: Double Agent
9. Warhammer 40k: Dark Crusade
10. Scarface: The World is Yours

Good to see some Warhammer love in the UK chart this week. Bully has also moved up in sales while the soccer games have moved down.

German Software (October 30 – November 5)
# Name (System)
1. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PS2)
2. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (PS2)
3. FIFA 07 (PS2)
4. Singstar Legends (PS2)
5. Brain Training (DS)
6. Need for Speed: Carbon (Xbox 360)
7. SingStar Deutsch Rock-Pop (PS2)
8. New Super Mario Bros. (DS)
9. Scarface: The World is Yours (PS2)
10. English Training (DS)

This week’s chart is almost a mirror of last week’s. The DS and PS2 control almost the entire market. The newest Dragon Ball Z game was released to some great sales this week, as was Need for Speed: Carbon.

Finnish Software (October 30 – November 5)
# Name (System)
1. Sims 2: Lemmikkielämää (PC, PS2)
2. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Multiple Systems)
3. NHL 07 (Multiple Systems)
4. Neverwinter Nights 2 (PC)
5. Battlefield 2142 (PC)
6. World of Warcraft (PC)
7. Guild Wars: Nightfall (PC)
8. Need For Speed: Carbon (Multiple Systems)
9. Kingdom Hearts 2 (PS2)
10. Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (Multiple Systems)

The Finnish market is very focused on the PC, as you can see in this week’s chart. I really can’t complain about seeing Neverwinter Nights 2 in any top ten list. Kingdom Hearts 2 really stands out as being the only console game on there that isn’t on roughly eighty platforms.

French Software (October 30 – November 5)
# Name (System)
1. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PS2)
2. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (PS2)
3. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Xbox 360)
4. The Sims 2: Animaux et Cie (DS)
5. Scarface (PS2)
6. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PSP)
7. FIFA 07 (PS2)
8. Brain Training (DS)
9. New Super Mario Bros. (DS)
10. English Training (DS)

The DS only managed to grab four spots this week, losing out to PES 6 and a few PS2 games. All-in-all, this is pretty much the same as the German chart. It looks like a number of the same titles appeal to the tastes of gamers all across Europe.

Big week this week. Lots of interesting stuff to talk about. As always, if you have a source for more numbers, send it my way.
