Last month we posted a video from Powet.tv about a hidden song found in many Nintendo games. These games all had music composed by Kazumi Totaka, hence the name “Totaka’s Song”. I was very impressed by the video these guys made about it, but they didn’t stop there.
Since the video was made, the song has been discovered in 2 additional games (Warioland for VirtualBoy and Pikmin 2 for Gamecube). This new video shows the song in these games and issues a challenge to viewers to find it in the few Totaka games where it has yet to be found. It would be great if one of you rebels unearthed the song. Anyway, enjoy the video. Best line: “It’s not easy to jam a video camera down the eye-hole of a VirtualBoy.”

In Luigi’s Mansion, isn’t Totaka’s Song at the press start screen. I’m not sure but I’ll have to check.

Did you know Totaka provides the voice of Yoshi in many recent DS games and Mario Sports titles? Might be worth some investigating.

I swear the song is in Luigi’s Mansion. I just know it’s there.
I’m probably going to play it today, hear it, and then forget where the hell I heard it in the game.

They reused his Yoshi voices from Yoshi’s Story as I have yet to find a game where they had him do voices that were not recorded for YS, sadly. I may give a check around Wario Land for his song later today…

The one in Pikmin sounds kinda weird…
I’m almost positive that X or whatever has totaka’s song in it…

I think that the song is played in the musicroom in Luigi’s Mansion. My Cube is in a coma so I can’t check it.
