If there’s been one thing that we’ve all learned during Sony and Nintendo’s media onslaught, it’s that neither the Wii nor the PS3 are at all camera shy. They’ve been jeered at, twisted, caressed, photographed, video-taped, and a couple of entraprenurial people have actually poked their fingers into some of their … ports. And yet, through all this turmoil, they haven’t moved - instead, they’ve stood strong, full of dignity and pride.
The Wii’s touched down at Joystiq, on Kotaku, in NeoGAF, and even in Engadget - and all three have given equally delicious and intriguing impressions of it. Joystiq is reporting on how the average, everyday non-gamer reacts to the system, NeoGAF has some regular unboxing porn from Gizmodo, Kotaku is showing some impressions on the system’s ease of setup, and Engadget is practically prying the system’s interface completely apart.
Not too long now for we consumers, fellow Nintendo fans!

I just watched the retro zelda stuff for the first time and finished them all and started feeling sappy for link games again…I don’t think i’ve ever been so touched by a video game…and the newest member of the family comes out next sunday…I’m going to blow my load all over the sky!!!

small wii is smaaaaalllll.
Another month to go here. Having only recently bought my 360 (hey big spender) i’m not so bothered about having to wait anymore, i think its gotten to the point now where i’ve outhyped myself through the anticipation, and a lot of my enthusiasm for getting a new console has shifted towards my newest toy.
Still, Come the morning of the 8th I’ll be sitting in my morning lecture with twitchy fingers waiting to get back home and see if my console was delivered. My only fear is that i’ll not be able to have as much fun with it as I’d like due to having literally NO standing space in this cramped up little room - Its bad enough having to stand on the bed to play guitar hero.
The 360 I bought as an upgrade to my PS2.Waiting for the wii feels like waiting for the real next gen, its quite exciting

Damn… Mitch, you might want to warn people about the language Joystiq article- Apparently the non-gamer roommate who plays it has quite a limited vocabulary.

I like how that guy decided it sucked before they even plugged it in. Sheesh.

How to get your girlfriend to play video games 101:
1.) Give her animal crossing
2.) Show her the video of the Mii channel.
Fairly sure my girlfriend will be spending hours in there making little dudes.

This is great and all, but when will 4CR get a Wii?
Marc - 11.11.06 5:12 pm
Whenever Nintendo considers us a website.

I think that Joystiq dude’s roommate needs to be tied to a fence in Laramie, Wyoming.
I think I should probably just leave it at that.

“Whenever Nintendo considers us a website.
”
But they concider GoNintendo to be a website, cuz they got their Wii.
4CR is just as in love with Nintendo as they are.
(Though not in recent months)

If boats and countries are “she”s, should consoles be too?
Harukio - 11.11.06 9:53 pm
So…What now? Once this machine comes out, what do I have to look forward too?

Man, that Joystiq article was pretty unproductive.
Jimbo - 11.11.06 10:20 pm
I think Nintendo consider GoNintendo a website because it seem to do all of their PR for them.
Duncan - 11.12.06 1:02 pm
