Many Bothans died to bring us this information…
Engadget has posted a Wii software/hardware markup sheet and some cool spy pics of Wii accessories. While the accessories appear to be third party, the overall look and feel of the packaging/stands and some of the products is very well in line with Wii’s design. I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely going to be picking up some of those controller gloves, dog tags, and lapel pins. Seeing stuff like this really brings home the reality of the impending launch…just 43 days away

Cool, I never knew there were Wii Controller Templates/Controller Gloves!

Haha, Bothans, nice.
And those pictures are fake, Nintendo just announced they renamed it to Revolution, why havent you posted that yet?

I thought Wii Zelda was gonna be US$60, not US$50, I guess that’s good news. Personally I’d rather get a custom plastic case replacement for my controllers (and maybe the system) instead of a little cover anyone can easily buy and put on, because it’d be more permanent and… more better
. But this still begs the question: What happened to the Zapper controller? I want a new Zapper, damnit! And maybe a new Duck Hunt!

I’m definitely getting a dog tag to hang from the lanyard holes on the back of my DS.

@LUCKYBUM
Maybe it doesn’t make sense to release certain accessories until they can actually be used? I’m sure there would be angry people if they got home and found out they can’t even use their newly purchased Zapper shell, etc.
In any case, all the acessories and stands are looking good. But I am wondering what the heck the dog tags are for - I don’t see any use for them aside from tagging your hardware/accessories.
I’m so excited. A little more than a month away people. Then the revolution begins.

I love the idea of the Wiimote gloves. I can definitely see them making a NES controller-themed glove in the future. It would totally kick ass.

im not really a fan of accesories for console. its just another thing that eats away money which could be better spent on buying new games. on launch im just getting a Wii and zelda. thats all ill need. i dont need no little glove protectors. for the most part i always keep my consoles in tip top condition. i actually find it quite odd when i go over to my firends house and i find there DS or gamecube cracked and covered with dried out peanut butter. im mean really, how do you get peanut butter on your gamecube.

THAT IS AWESOME That dogtag. Is so mine. I’m so Psyched.

I keep my systems in tip-top condition as well, but seeing as how the only controller color on launch will be white I’ll be buying the gloves so that the girlfriend can tell her Wiimote from mine, and ours from our friend’s…

Am I the only one who thinks those “gloves” seem a bit tacky? No? Well, iPods have accessories similar to those, and whenever I see them with those, I just think “Eeww!”
This will be the first time I’ll see a controller needing a case… I’m all for taking care of your console and stuff… but I really don’t like this idea…

It makes sense now why store stock so many junk accessories and push extended warranty plans: The profit margin on electronics is so low!

If you don’t want to use the covers, don’t buy them. Problem solved.
