This Saturday, we’re going to end our week-long Nintendo 64 birthday party with a huge article collecting our staff’s memories and stories about the little black box. However, we’d also like to hear from you.
What are your fondest memories of the N64? Do you have an interesting story to tell? Want to talk about your favorite games? We want to know.
So, send your stories to mailbag[at]4colorrebellion.com with the subject N64 Mailbag. We’ll pick the fifteen or twenty best ones and post them all in one huge blowout.

When do these have to be in by?
Cowlix - 10.04.06 7:01 pm
Is that Earthbound 64 in that pic? And check out Mischief Makers, one of the weirdest games for the N64, by none other than Treasure. You could also check out Sin and Punishment, but that’s a Japan-only release, but still awesome.

Oh man, Mischief Makers. I remember playing that to death at my cousin’s house when she first got it for Christmas one year.
Also, Mystical Ninja is the best game that no one I’ve ever met outside of the internet has heard of.

Mystical Ninja, Mischief Makers (a game that I feel NEVER gets enough mention), getting every (or most anyway, my memory fails me) platinum medal in Blast Corps (good lord that game was hardcore), playing Ocarina of Time and just marvelling at this new 3-D Zelda and it’s brilliance, done up well.
Heh, I guess I could go on..I have a lot of nice 64 memories.

Probablly collecting EVERYTHING in effing michief makers, and perfecting my Zelda: OoT. I was grounded alot as a kid, and collecting helped. Lol.

The more I think about it though. Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon was an amazing game. The camera pissed me off at time, but it ha a GIANT ROBOT BATTLE IN SPACE! It dosnt get any better.
Pisko - 10.05.06 2:40 pm
Don’t forget Goemon’s Great Adventure! Side-scrolling co-op FTW! I hope that it will (a) be available on the Virtual Console, and (b) have the songs put back in.

Rasengan_Master, you read my mind!!

Was I the only one who liked Ridge Racer 64? It took a little while to get used to the controls compared to the PS1 games but I thought it was pretty fun… Especially for $10 at Fry’s.
And hell yes for Blastcorps!
I was lucky too, my g/f got me a Sin n Punishment for Xmas when it came out in Japan. Fun game and cool gfx.
