Sorry to say, but this week just isn’t quite as exciting as last week. Don’t run away yet! Although the list is smaller, we still have all of the data for Japan, the US, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.

Continue on, my friends.

Although the DS failed to capture all ten slots this week, only one PS2 game managed to beat Nintendo’s juggernaut. Square still hasn’t restocked Final Fantasy III. They should probably get on that soon, they’ve now sold roughly 99% of the original shipment.

The release of the black DS Lite ensured that hardware sales would be high. It looks like Japan is just about out of original DS systems. Microsoft is crying after Xbox sales again dropped to zero.

August was another extraordinary month for DS sales, with the handheld beating out every other system on the market. NSMB managed to hang onto a slot in the top ten software titles sold. EA takes most of the list with various versions of Madden.

Alright guys, that’s it for now. Hopefully, we’ll have more data next week. The countdown to Pokemon is ticking down.
