There was a time when I could keep up with the latest young adult trends. I listened to a few hip-hop tunes. I knew all about collecting pogs and pokey-men. But nowadays, kids are into customized robot warriors, holographic battle arenas, and what have you. Sounds like a bunch of jibber-jabber to me!
Custom Robo: The sport of tomorrow. In the not-too-distant future, competitors battle customized robot warriors in holographic battle arenas. Victory is determined not only by fighting skill but also by how well Robo Commanders design their robot gladiators, so players need both brawn and brains to survive.
Explore a sci-fi landscape as you fight toward the Custom Robo championship, powering up your Robos with tons of unique parts. There are literally millions of possible Custom Robo combinations, giving you complete control over how you fight your battles.
See what I mean! Nonsense! Regardless, Jeux-France has posted several new screenshots and artwork for the DS game that you can check out. Expect Custom Robo Arena to hit US stores this December 4th, complete with download play and online functionality.

Woohoo! Being the total robot geek that I am, this game and the new MechAssault have me totally stoked.
The graphics, arenas, and gameplay of this remind me of that old arcade game where two people faced off in hover tanks. What was it called? Hyper Sled I think. Man, that was one of my favorite games of all time.

I think so long as the normal 1player is fun, It’ll have me playin for hours. I played the one for GC for weeks after I beat it and go back to it every now and then as well.

I love Virtual On, but only with the Twin-Stick controller.
Without those, I just won’t play it.
Of course two Wii remotes could be used….. hmmm.
(runs off to beg to Sega)

Do they still make rock ‘em sock ‘em robots? I’d have figured Jack Thompson would have been all up in that bizzotch, like the kids say.
