Hello Player 1

Do I just love pictures of Japanese people in line? It’s entirely possible, but that doesn’t dispute the fact that there were over eighty people lined up outside of the Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara.
You might ask, “Eighty people, that’s not that many, is it?”
At 3:00 AM it is. By 8:00 AM, the line was up to 150 people. Because of the number of people, the store opened forty-five minutes early. The special-edition bundle (crystal-white DS lite with FF prints and the game itself) sold out within thirty minutes. Other stores in the Tokyo area reported similar situations this morning.
Rumor is that Square Enix only shipped around 450,000 copies. If so, they seem to have severely underestimated demand for this game.
Meanwhile, this month’s Nintendo Power has some new information on the upcoming Final Fantasy V remake for GBA.
In addition to having more available jobs, including four new to the GBA version (Gladiator, Prophet, Bomber, and Necromancer)[...] Many of the improvements are subtle, such as reorganized menus, updated dialogue, and improved sound quality. Others such as the Sealed Ruin dungeon are much more obvious; the 30-floor dungeon becomes accessible near the game’s finale, and provides a whole new experience for fans of the original. According to Square Enix, the Sealed Ruin dungeon will have a high difficulty level, which makes sense–the original has always been regarded as one of the most hard-core games in the series, and now we can experience it in all its glory.
Final Fantasy V hits the United States on November 6th with Final Fantasy III following it on the 14th. We can’t wait for the Final Fantasy overload this fall!
