Here for your reading enjoyment, Atlus has provided us with two Trauma Center press releases. What can I say, I love Atlus! I can’t wait for the Wii version to come out!
First, Trauma Center: Second Opinion was confirmed as a launch title for Nintendo’s new, highly anticipated console—Wii, which is poised to take the video game world by storm in the fourth quarter of 2006. This robust “Wii-make” of Under the Knife features new graphics and animation, new surgical implements and operation types, a second playable character with all-new missions, multiple difficulty modes for gamers of all skill levels, and a revised control system that takes full advantage of the revolutionary Wii Remote and Nunchuk-style controller.
Using both controllers like a defibrillator is going to be really cool. Multiple difficulty modes? I’ve never played the DS version, but I’ve heard it gets pretty hard towards the end.
In addition, thanks to a wave of demand triggered by the launch of the Nintendo DS Lite, Trauma Center: Under the Knife will receive a second re-release, to arrive at retail in mid-August. Under the Knife has been hailed by critics as “arguably the most compelling use of the touch screen yet [Modojo]…One of the most creative and entertaining experiences the DS has offered [GotNext].”
This is great news for someone like me, who’s been looking for the game for the past two months but can’t find it anywhere.

I may have to get the Wii version just for the difficulty setting..
The DS version does get rediculously hard in some areas..

Oh Yeah! I got my copy of Trauma Center alongside with my DS-Lite and I love it! Sure, the difficulty really IS a bummer and I still havent finished it, yet. But the game and the whole surgeon Idea behind it is so awesome, that its not that bad and you will try it anyway!
Its the first game I know, from Atlus, but I love them for it! Its like good old times with Rare´s Donkey Kong and Golden Eye. They were perfect, just like this one!
They are GAMES!! Not just any ripoff Title you can buy every year (Ehem, hello EA!).
So! Go out and buy it! You wont regret it!

The game’s pretty much everywhere now. All of the Best Buys in my area seem to have several copies of it on hand, which is nice. I finally picked it up not so long ago and it’s amazing.

Actually, after you “beat” the game and get a very normal ending, you have another mission unlocked in the “challenge” mode of the game. After beating one, you get another one, all the way untill the 7th and last mission, all the way through it, you learn more, and end up with the real ending. But no one really got to the actual end of the game and finished all the challenge missions
(it just really points that you’re discovering more every time you beat one). So that’s probably why there’s going to be difficulty levels.
