The Nintendo Difference
An interesting video has surfaced on the interwebs. Entitled “The Nintendo Difference,” this video was created to promote the GameCube before the system was released. The video gives us a very interesting glimpse of what could have been.
The four-minute video gives us brief previews of a bunch of GCN games. Several of them are close to what we ended up seeing (Rogue Leader, Wave Race, SSBM). A few of the titles shown had features that wouldn’t be in the final version (clock in Luigi’s Mansion, racing around town in Animal Forest/Crossing). Several of the titles – Raven Blade (action game from Retro), Kameo (finally released on the Xbox 360), and Donkey Kong Racing – would never even see release on the GCN.
