Nintendo has finally announced the addition of five titles to their Player’s Choice line of GBA games. What titles are those? You probably could have just taken a look at the picture above, but the lucky titles are Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Pokemon Leaf Green & Fire Red, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and Super Mario World.
While these are great games, it just seems like they are being discounted years after they should have been. I guess that they don’t have a reason to discount these games while they are still selling well at full price.
For the few of you who don’t already have these excellent titles, they will be available for $20 each starting October 2nd. Pokemon Diamond & Pearl will accept Pokemon that you’ve caught in Fire Red & Leaf Green, so you may want to pick up one of those two in preparation for the upcoming DS games.

Wow…NOA’s Marketing department must have been busy.

^—I mean that they took so long to make these Player’s Choice.

I’ll probably pick up Mario World, as I lack it for some reason. Might pick up Zelda, too.

Woa. Well then that settles it. There’s NO WAY Oct. 2 could be the release date for the Wii.

WarioWare Twisted is $19.99 if you can find it.
It is definitely the best WarioWare game.

Shy Guy: So you bought Fire Red on September 2nd? How do you buy games in the future?
AdamBot - 07.28.06 1:50 pm

“I guess that they don’t have a reason to discount these games while they are still selling well at full price.”
Duh.
ryro - 07.28.06 1:54 pm
When I was in Japan, they were selling them for full price, but I haven’t been able to find them at all in the states (not that I don’t already have them, but still…)
adb - 07.28.06 2:02 pm
So stupid that it was this pricey untill now.
MMaRsu - 07.28.06 2:22 pm
niiice. Especailly seeing how Nintendo could have kept Pokemon the same price forever.
yanipheonu - 07.28.06 3:11 pm
Well, they are keeping Ruby/Sapphire at the same price, despite being older.
Does anyone know if Fire Red/Leaf Green will still come with the wireless link adapter? It’d be a great deal, even if the hardware is a bit outdated.
Kyattsuai - 07.28.06 4:24 pm
Eh, I’ve found those wireless thingies at gamestop for like three bucks. I’ve got a whole arsenal of the things now. Only thing I really used them for besides trading pokemon between carts is trying out those simple jump rope/dodrio berry contest things.

OMG does that mean reprintings of Mario Kart Super Circuit!?!?! WOW EXCITEMENT!!!

D’oh! I just bought LeafGreen (and Emerald) just a couple of weeks ago. Also, I just bought Pikmin 2 a week before they put it up on the Player’s Choice category. My timing is really off recently. Oh well, I can’t say I really like the Player’s Choice yellow bar anyway on my box so I guess that’s a silver lining.

Apparently original copies of
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World
and
Mario Kart Super Circuit
are currently available from ‘circuit city’ in the United States for $8.96, quite a bit less than the Player’s Choice line price of $20.

ive been trying to find copies of super mario world around town recently, NOWHERE has them. I dont think the uk gets players choice, but this little discount and a couple of import shops should serve me well. Pokemon and Mario for £10 each? yes plz
ALH - 07.29.06 6:00 am
Honestly, I was hoping they’d just let Super Circuit fade into obscurity at this point. Compared to Mario Kart DS it’s a huge pile.

Hooray! Finally, Pokemon for cheap. And Super Mario World. :3
