The ever-loved hero in green tights is back! Not only do we get to see the first screens of Tingle’s game debut, but we can laugh it off just by reading the newly unveiled game title - Mogitate Tingle no Barairo Rupee Land, which translates as “Freshly-picked Tingle’s Pink-coloured Rupee Land”.
Not much is known yet about the actual story, but you’ll start off from the times when Tingle was still a simple boy. You’ll eventually meet up with a big-rupee-headed old-man and a purple swirly-breasted woman. Maybe she’s the Forest Fairy Queen!

Absolutely bizarre. While I didn’t realize Tingle was in any way an ever-loved hero, I’m sure there’s something about this character’s misunderstood emulation of another culture/openly different lifestyle, and disappointment from his father, that will resonate with a lot of people.

I wouldn’t count on this being a “traditional” rpg. Nintendo seems to have an extreme distaste for those.

I really love the art style this has. It looks interesting, even if I have no idea what’s really going on. Looks like Tingle is continuing his legacy of wanting little more than more money.

This is quite bizarre. I’ve never been a huge Tingle fan myself, but I don’t flat out despise the character. And if the game is made by R&D1, I’m more than sold.

This is awesome, a Zelda game with a money driven character like Wario, and from the scans equally as surreal; a very necessary spin off for the Zelda series, just in time for Twilight Princess.

I realize that the RU in the Japanese title looks a bit like a HA, causing you guys to think it says HA-ppy Land, but it’s pretty clear to me that it says Rupee land in Japanese. Everything else about your translation is solid. Just fyi.

this looks totally great! i love nintendo. everyone is clamoring for the death of tingle so they give him his own game! that is hilarious and i can’t wait to play it.
