Square Enix’s E3 trailer for Final Fantasy III is now online and ready for you to devour. The excellent CG comes as no surprise, but the actual gameplay clips aren’t anything to sneeze at either. I’m not quite sure why you would sneeze at them in the first place, to be honest. It’s a gross habit that you should really look into amending.
Famitsu has their own coverage of the Final Fantasy 3D remake for the DS, publishing six pages of Final Fantasy III screenshots and artwork in their latest issue. For those of you wondering, we have our own hands-on impressions of the game from E3 which you should look out for in the near future. Sure, dozens of other gaming sites have probably already posted their own previews, but how many of those sites are as rad as 4cr? I’ll go ahead and answer that question for you–none of them.
On a related RPG note, Nexon, the South Korean-based game publisher, revealed that they will be developing a game for the Nintendo DS. They haven’t disclosed any specifics about the title yet, but many are speculating that it may be a port of their insanely popular Maple Story MMORPG. Considering the amount of details Nexon have announced, they could just as well be working on a port of Yo Momma.

I doubt the game will be online, after all its a remake of FFIII and that never had online. I can’t wait for this game, it looks beautiful, CG footage and all!

OK I’m making a prediction, Final Fantasy 3 shall be the biggest selling DS game worldwide when it comes out. The fact 3 never came out anywere but Japan, will mean all the FF fanboys will get a DS just to play it, and Japan seem to eat up their Final Fantasy games. This game is gonna kill the PSP
And a MMORPG on the DS is nothing but great news, bring it on.

Agreed! This looks incredible already; it’s exactly what the DS needs: a game with deep gameplay and stunning graphics.

I think some people are confusing the prerendered movies with actual gameplay. Check the magazine to see what the game looks like (it’s still beautiful.)

Actually, scans show that the game will support the Nintendo WiFi Connection, meaning that it will have some sort of online mode.
What the online mode is, though, is the real question.

Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS is totally awesome. I played it at E3 last week in the Square-Enix booth and it was really smooth. This fmv work on the DS looks absolutely incredible. I’m really looking forward to this title.
