Japanese magazine scans for the latest issues of Nintendo Dream and Famitsu have made their way to the internet. I think you will agree with me when I say that they are quite rad.

First up is Yggdra Union, a GBA SRPG from the same people that brought you Riviera: The Promised Land last year. Already enjoying the praise of critics, this card-based title received a Famitsu review score of 35/40. Atlus has announced plans to bring Yggdra Union stateside for a Fall 2006 release.

Daisenryaku: Great Strategy and Rockman ZX, both DS titles, showed up with new artwork and gameplay screens as well. Daisenryaku promises to bring it’s special blend of deep, modern-military strategy to the handheld. Before you write the game off as another Advance Wars clone, keep in mind that Daisenryaku’s developers cut their teeth around the SNES days, bringing the series to almost every console since. The Rockman/Megaman ZX scans hint at new characters to look out for on this 2D platformer. Not much has been revealed about ZX, gameplay-wise, but the circulating preview video guarantees that it will definitely be action-packed.

Last but never least, Nintendo Dream examined the evolution of Link’s artwork, marking the changing length of his, uh, nose. Over the years, our adventurer has gone from a monstrous 93mm schnozzle to an almost invisible 18mm. All this time, we’ve been wondering what the constant pot-breaking and grass-cutting was about. The poor boy was saving up rupees for a rhinoplasty.
