Nintendo Keynotes Redux
Wow, lots of cool news at GDC today, so here’s a small post with all the important points :
First up, Iwata Talked about the success of both Brain Training DS and WFC.
He then unveils information and footage about the new Zelda DS title, Phantom Hourglass. This game uses the celshaded WindWaker engine and is being worked on by the Aonuma team. Video here. And here are some screenshots : 1, 2, 3, 4.
He’s not done here though, he finally unveils that the Revolution Virtual Console will feature about 1000 Sega Genesis/Master System games and also some TurboGFX games! This makes the Revolution Virtual Console even better than we first expected. Some mention of how the Nintendo download service is going to be similiar to Apple’s iTune.
He also noted that the important info is still to be told, so be sure to mark May 9th on your calendar for their Pre-E3 conference, we’ll be keeping you rebels posted!

Nintendo is going in an awesome direction, countless forumers have posted how the rev should have genesis, and Reggie was questioned about. They got the message. Then out of nowhere they get the turbographx to get the interest of even more hardcore gamers, and I never got to try the turbographx. I’m ECSTATIC!
