Link Dump – 03.23

We’ve been all so busy these past days at 4cr that we let some interesting news slip away into the forgotten vault of inexistence. But fear not fellow rebels! This calls for another infamous Link Dump.

Namco will release a compilation of the entire Point Blank shooting series. Working pretty much like any lightgun games, you’ll be using the stylus as your shooting instrument.

A detective game similar to Phoenix Wright will be released as part of the Simple DS series. Titled Simple DS series Vol.8 The Official Judgement, your task will be to collect various pieces of evidence to frame criminals. More images and artwork can be found here.

Nintendo registered some new names recently, hinting away that those were going to be new game title. The names are Tornado, Nekosogi Tornado, Bioumu and Kuru Keshi!. Apparently, those are some DS games made by students via the Nintendo Game Seminar and they’ll be made available to download sometime in April. There is no confirmation yet on how we’ll access and download those games, but demo stations are surely the answer and maybe we’ll see more projects of the sort being distributed via the Revolution game catalog.

Nintendo UK and BT Openzone announced they’ll roll out of over 600 free BT Openzone / Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection hotspots to retailers across the UK and Ireland.

Will Wright confirmed that Spore will indeed be coming to all major handheld systems. Nintendogs wins Best Technology award at the GDC Awards.

And to conclude think link dump, First 4 Figures will be making some Legend of Zelda statues. Games include Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess.
