If you’re not following the Homebrewing scene on the DS as closely as I’ve been through the years, you might not be familiar with the DSLinux effort - which is, obviously enough, the effort to extend Linux’s track record one mark further, onto the NDS. They’ve had their successes, but this could very well be what pushes DSLinux into public consciousness.
That’s right - via PepsiMan’s blog, we get the news that phestar managed to compile a text-only web browser for DSLinux. This works with WiFi (including WEP, from earlier developments), and yeah, you can check any sites you please directly on your DS!
Looks like the Homebrew scene beat Nintendo and Opera to a functional browser. You can’t display images, but come on - you gotta give us this one. We beat you to the punch, Big N.
As usual, you need a homebrew-capable DS to run these things.
