Artist Spotlight – Dean Trippe
Every day a new artist is becoming hot and breaking into the scene. Most of the time that means they have been working for many many years and people are just finally starting to notice. With Dean Trippe, it didn’t take people all that long to notice.
Dean graduated from SCAD, which is just a few hours from where I live (unless you go to their new extension branch here in Atlanta). The school has a great reputation and I almost went there for a graduate degree in storyboarding. Anyway, enough rambling about myself.
Head on over to Dean’s site for some beautiful cartoon work. He has a graceful style, a wonderful sense of storytelling and is even a stickler on the proper use of word balloons and type. This kid is going to go far. Absolutely incredible stuff. Enjoy.
