As MMO games are on the rise, a completely new economy has risen to satisfy the needs of gamers who are willing to pay anything for that rare item, or even a little extra in-game cash. It’s even recognized by the public media, and while analysts are rising out of the woodwork with all sorts of wild theories about where this sub-economy is going, even our evil overlords are looking for ways to join in on the fun.
While NookBay might not operate on the same scale as some of the other more involved gaming communities, it does provide a way for Animal Crossing: Wild World players to auction off rare items, trinkets, and make some major bells in the process. When the auction closes it’s a matter of exchanging friend codes to meet up for the virtual exchange and make good on the virtual deal.
Have a complete set? Someone might be willing to pay mucho (virtual) bells for it.

I’ve been using Nookbay for a while. I has beent really handy, especially in the beginning, when I was trying to get fruit. It also makes some of those wicked high loan payments bit more tolerable - you can especially cash in on selling hats and acessories. My friend bought a Halo for 300 bells or so and then sold it on nookbay for 20,00. CHA CHING

Ugh, you need to add a ‘edit comment’ option

It’s pretty cool, but in a way it takes the fun out of the game. Hackers are accessing all possible items and selling them for bookoo bells, and as a result, rare items such as the Metroid and Starman are not really that special. I’ma keep playing the game and trading with friends who have earned thier stuff. Hackers ruin everything.

who’s hacking AC? there’s no cheat devices.
mercatfat - 01.19.06 4:41 pm
There’s plenty of AC hacking. I know because I am able to do it. However, I’ve decided against it overall. I tested out the ability to get any item, etc. But I realized how much it sucks the fun out of the game, and decided against doing it in the future.
The world of Game hacking and cheating isn’t limited by simple “gameshark” like commercial devices anymore. These hacks are done via homebrewn apps and trainers using special equipment for homebrew.

I havent seen much hacking. I mean, for the most part people hack to get the items they took out of the game, but left in the code.
I’ve been using http://www.nookway.com, and that’s been pretty good to me. Although every once in a while you find a person thats flaky, but then, thats the risk of buying/selling anything online

“There’s plenty of AC hacking.”
okay, so you and a small community of people who have modded their DS can do it. wow.
there’s far less people that do that than “plenty”. besides, why would you hack to get items and sell them if you could just generate bells? i mean, really. that’s retarded.
