Tales of Tempest Video

Here is the first video for Tales Of Tempest, a new RPG from Namco for the DS. Very little is known about the game, but it sure does look pretty. The DS certainly is getting a lot of role playing love.

Game looks great! Hope it is up to par with ToS. The best part of these games are the battle system, just can’t get enough of em.

Now that’s a good-looking DS game. It is DS, right? It’s just too beautiful.

That actually looks surprisingly good.

w00t, it looks so amazing! The background looks a bit bland tho, I hope they add some stuff to it. I wonder what the stylus can do; I think movement with it is a given, tho. Too early in development to make a full oppinion out of the video tho. In fact it looks awesome to be so early in dev.

Wow it looks great.
Now the controls seem a bit stiff from what I can see from here (hard time turning) but it’s very promising.

Cool! The graphics are defiantly using the DS’s power.
Can’t wait to hear more . . .

That really looks great, reminds me of FF: Crystal Chronicles… which is supposed to come out on Revolution AND DS.

Hopefully this will have multiplayer, maybe even online?
The real-time RPG fighting system looks very good.

lol has the game got some connection to Tales of Symphonia? the game looks true to the TOS game style with ‘free style’ battles and a ‘cheap’ looking world map(soz :(). I loved TOS so this should be great fun. Just one problem though, the charcter models look a bit wird and the animation to go with them. Everything else, WOW.

I dunno… it looks kind of simplistic and junky to me… maybe 2d would have suited this game better?

The overview map looks pretty bland. The player character models look great, but I think some of the enemy models looks a bit fugly. I’ll look out for it, though. I’m optimistic these things will improve.

Tales of Symphonia had the same type of map so please don’t complain… Check anywhere, ToS got wonderful reviews and it was a wonderful game.

It’s a horrible cycle.

If my friend wasn’t going to get a DS because of Mario Kart, Children of Mana or Xenosaga, he’ll definitely consider one now.

Seriously we better not go through the same BS as Symphonia with Japanese gamers whining about Namco porting the game to a PlayStation system instead. This better STAY on the DS with no PSP port with enhanced ANYTHING, give Nintendo its moment in the sun (again).

All we need now is a Revolution-bound “Tales of” game and we’re set.

I just tripped, this will be Mutsumi Inomata’s first Nintendo-based Tales game.

Nothing special, just wanted to point it out.

Looks great, but when the guy is moving left and right on the field it does look rather ridiculous.

Whoa, you gotta love the CBS, all To games have been awsome and well made like this, and i totaly disagree everything about the game looked totaly slick and smooth.

The camera man could of been abit better though, Maybe he was nervous about how awsome the game is. :)

OMG this game looks amazing and theres barely anything on it. I have only played ToS, but i have seen many others in action. All I have to say is if this game is half as good as Tos it will rank atleast a nine in my book. Yea thats how good i think ToS is. ToS is my favorite RPG ever and its os big. I hope ToT is pretty long and has a lot of side quests like ToS.
