Capcom released a trailer for Resident Evil Deadly Silence on their Japaneses website! Once in, click on Enter, then on Movie in the bottom right, then on the left link that appears.
The graphics are better than I had expected, and the game seems to be using the DS features rather well. I can’t wait to try the multiplayer with the floating arrows!
Looks like it will be getting a January 19th release date in Japan.

Woah, it looks awesome; I’m sure I’ll be getting this game as soon as it comes out.

The Biohazard franchise is producing the best looking games in nintendo hardware lately !!
MaCrAmaN - 12.15.05 1:41 pm
ohh man… old School! I’m such a sucker the RE fanchise.
QuickFix - 12.15.05 1:51 pm
Well, it’s not all 3D remade from what I can see.
But they seem to have put a swet knifing mode.
You never know, I might pick this up. (It’d be the third time, I buy this game.)

Okay, I never played the original, only the NGC version. This… looks insanely lame. And it sounded like they re-recorded the voices AGAIN, but made it bad again.
Cyberg-Ares - 12.15.05 2:56 pm
You don’t seem to understand that they actually want the voice acting to be cheesy.
Bombs - 12.15.05 3:01 pm
Awesome. I can’t wait to se in person. There is nothing better than that horridly cheesy original opening. I hope that if they do in fact use the live action opening, that they use the unedited version. If you were lucky enough to see that one, you were able to witness a far more bloodier, not to mention cheesier opening. Exploding dog heads woohoo!
mastershredder - 12.15.05 3:30 pm
Here, take this.
It’s a gun.
mitch - 12.15.05 3:38 pm
This game is looking good.
Nintendofreak - 12.15.05 3:40 pm
You gotta love the floating arrow partners!
Hamblasto - 12.15.05 3:55 pm
Yeah, floating arrows are the best
Nicol@s - 12.15.05 4:13 pm
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I can’t seem to find the Link to the Movie…
Is it just me?
Kakashi - 12.15.05 4:15 pm
KAKASHI, once you click on the link, press enter, than there will be a link for the movie at the right side on the menu (click on it, DUH).
Than there will be two choice (I don’t know what they mean since, I don’t speak japanese
), press the left one. The video should load
Nicol@s - 12.15.05 4:30 pm
looks interesting. I know my firen will get a DS only for that game. He finds it intreasting to wipe the blood off the screen.
Its just him.
EOM - 12.15.05 4:41 pm

John - 12.15.05 5:32 pm
I dont like the arrow things , id prefer to see what my partner is doing
Jacomar - 12.15.05 6:02 pm
I like the very last scene of that video.
*run run run-bang*
hokku - 12.15.05 6:16 pm
so what is it, Wifi or just Niwifi?
courtney - 12.15.05 7:17 pm
Yeah, I don’t really like the floating-arrows thing. And it’s not going to be online.
s256 - 12.15.05 8:03 pm
I seriously doubt they went with the arrows because it’s better. They most probably went wit the arrows because of the hardware limitations of the DS and it would be hard for it to display 3 other character models on screen.
Bombs - 12.15.05 8:12 pm
Definately a handheld Sega Saturn game… the markers remind me of the Sims. That’s so stupid.
BreakfastPills - 12.15.05 11:04 pm
Does anyone else find that puzzle with the knife stabbing and hand hilarious and genious at the same time?
TheOtherPedro - 12.15.05 11:23 pm
The funniest part of the video was hearing the original voice-overs. Are they going to keep my all-time favorite videogame dialog line?
“You, the master…of unlocking…can use it best.”
Daniel Thomas - 12.15.05 11:58 pm
Wow…floating triangles. Thats going to be on Penny-Arcade for sure.
This video illustrates a problem I have with DS games though. When a developer tacks on touch screen support to a game that doesnt normally use it. Blowing in the mic is one thing, but having to switch from using the buttons to picking up the stylus and performing with it…annoying!
Nick - 12.16.05 1:07 am
Yeah, but maybe that by using the touch screen the controls will be a tad more intuitive than normal.
Bombs - 12.16.05 3:06 am
Glad they’re keeping the cheesy voice acting - there’s a lot of good memories from this which I’m sure people will be picking up the DS version to get nostalgic again…
Steve Pick - 12.16.05 8:58 am
There’s a solution to the stylus switch problem, it’s called the wrist strap/screen protector+your finger.
Digital Flareon - 12.17.05 1:59 pm
I cant wait for this game to come out.I never beat the original on PSone.
