Edge has their Beyond Good & Evil retrospective from issue 157 online. It’s a great read about one of the coolest sleeper hits of the last few years. It’s certainly a favorite amongst the 4cr staff. If you’ve never played this game, go grab a job in your local bargain bin or on Ebay. You won’t regret it.

This is getting hard to find on GC - track it down quick before it starts getting Ebay’d!

One of my favourite games, I’m looking forward for a sequel, awesome gameplay, my only regret is that it was a bit short, but it’s really a must have.

I loved this game. Best $10 I ever spent.

this is one of the best gc titles

I actually have been planning on getting it on Xbox… I remember reading something that said the GCN version was the only one of the three console releases that (surprisingly) didn’t support progressive scan. I’ve still yet to get around to it.

Interesting story: A while ago, I walked into the local EB games looking for a good bargain on some games. I saw that there was a used Dark Cloud 2, which I had heard good things about, so I immediately decided to get that. But, I had extra money left over and took Beyond Good & Evil for GCN.
I came for Dark Cloud 2, but guess which of the two did I play the most and enjoyed thoroughly?

you should also try Psychonauts. One of the most interesting games since Super Mario Bros 3. at least in my opinion, strangely, it wasn’t released on Gamecube which seem perfect for it.

I’ve been looking forever, but cant find this game anywhere (besides ebay)

To Nintendonut, my girlfriend and I just got a copy of this one through our gamefly subscription. It’s not buyable through their service, but if you can’t find it anywhere else, it’s at least an option. I have to second all the recommendations for this game. We’ve been having a blast playing through it together.

I’ve played through it.. it’s a great game. I do wish it was longer. And sold better so they could make a sequel..

This is truly an amazing game with amazing depth. A great buy at budget release too.

I think my local walmart has a bunch of them in stock. So I may force myself to pick up a copy. And just how short is it.

…It’s 9 bucks at ebgames ( used ).
MaCrAmaN - 12.12.05 7:06 pm
It’s short enough that you can beat it in like 8 to 10 hours, maybe shorter. But it was supposed to be a trilogy, thats why it has a cliffhanger at the end.

9 bucks is a bargain for this game!

I’ve been looking forever but I still can’t find this game. I can’t find Prince of Persia: Sands of Time either.

Toys-r-Us had a trio of the PS2 version a few weeks ago, $9 each. Canadian. I didn’t pick it up because my PS2 was one of the earlier defective models and I wanted to try and find the GCN version if I could.
So far, I can’t. And all three PS2 copies have sold out.
Momus - 12.12.05 10:53 pm
I went to Gamestop last night and they didn’t have the cube version, so I picked up the PS2 version, $9 well spent.
