[Now Playing| Mario Kart DS]

I saw this floating around the net a few days ago but didn’t get the chance to watch it until tonight. This might possibly be the coolest Mario fan music related thing Ive ever seen. Six minutes of nostalgic Mario tunes on the marimba and drums. Amazing!

Absolutely amazing!

I don’t want to be “That Guy,” but they really need some freaking stick control. Of course, it’s just a high school deal and that’s forgiveable, but come on people, not everything is marching band!
Other than that, it’s a great idea. Something I could do for my recital…hmmm….

they could put out an album on marimba covers! that would sell millions in Japan. Americans, I don’t know maybe if they added something more urban like trashcans & car parts… or just don’t release it here, unless it’s hip hop and Jessica Simpson sings it.

Love how the thing on the right says ” Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach take on the marimba.” With NO mention of Toad on the drums. The guy gets no respect. Ever. >_>;

“Currently, the playback feature of Google Video isn’t available in your country.
We hope to make this feature available more widely in the future, and we really appreciate your patience.”
Wtf is this? I’m from Germany. I’d understand if it wasn’t available for countries like Ghana or something, but Germany???

wonderfully ludicrous!!

Beautiful.
Almost as great as the acapella one.

Really, you can’t get it in Germany? I live in Japan, but I got it. Hmm, well, it isn’t discrimination against former Axis Powers at least.
Carl - 11.25.05 6:21 pm
pretty good, but the drummer is awful.

That was pretty awful on the marimba. I had a couple of students put something like that together a few years ago. They didn’t dress the part, but at least they sounded better.
Sean - 11.26.05 8:25 pm
yeah some parts on the marimba were pretty sloppy, but still, ought to give them credit, it was very nicely put together, including all the items and whatnot. One thing though;
what was luigi doing banging those two sticks together? O_o
fizban - 11.27.05 2:15 pm

Where can I find out more about this project? This is so awesome… they need to release more… I can’t stop watching this hilarious video I freakin love it. So impressed.
I don’t give a crap about stick control or whatever, this was one awesome show. Princess Toad’s (real name?) style of play on the Marimba is so entertaining, and the props were fantastic.
