Hello Player 1
[Now Playing| Fire Emblem: PoR]
We finally have some new footage of Animal Crossing: Wild World and it looks fantastic. You can see the new coffee shop and hairdressers along with other goodies. My favorite part of this video? How about the fact that when you drink coffee and the shop it actually disappears! I can’t begin to tell you how irritating that is when I’m watching cartoons or games and someone drinks something, but that something doesn’t disappear. Same with food. A character will take multiple bites out of sandwich and no bite marks appear. Ok, rant over.
There are also rumors floating around that Wild World is having some localization problems and gamers from different countries wont be able to play with each other. At least not the US and Japan. From reading the interview with Konno yesterday about online gaming, maybe Nintendo just doesn’t want Japanese gamers to have to deal with us jerky Americans. Unless said jerky Americans already live in Japan…right Vinnk? Lol.

I began to suspect that problem when I noticed that the text input keyboards in the most recent Japanese screens and the most recent American screens were totally different (the American screens’ keyboard layout was totally different and didn’t have a toggle for inputting Japanese characters). Kinda sucks :/

Yea!!!. I cant wait for this game to hit the states….stupid tree chopers. I hope this isnt like most reality games, like nintendogs And AC for GC where its fun for the first month and then its like w/e my nintendog coulld feed itself and my Ac charcter could survive on its own.

Dammit. I don’t want to have to import the US version. Can someone sort this out already? I emailed NOA and they said it oughta be compatible. But I’m not even sure they understood the question. Maybe I should just buy Ouendan and play that until both versions launch and see what people’s experiences are with it. Grr.

Carl – buy Ouendan NOW – you will love it. Enjoy it and relax until you get the details…

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
And that my friends, is why Nintendo doesn’t want the Japanese playing with Americans.

This is a bummer, but with people like that I guess it’s understandable. Still, does this mean it would be impossible to be able to like go to Iwata’s town where he sends out his global letter present things?

Now I finally get to see the video… Nintendo’s REALLY putting both screens to an extreme use. I’m so excited!

They don’t want us to play together because of different customs in our cultures involving cutting down trees. In Japan, cutting a tree is a sign of anger and vengence, whereas in America, cutting a tree is a sign of progress and honesty!
You can see the problem. Nintendo doesn’t want to have ‘Animal Crossing for the Nintendo DS: A precursor to World War Three’ in history books.
