Hey LeedsGuy…we have a bunch of cool stuff in this weeks podcast! Lol. But really, we do. I spout the news as usual and Vinnk educates us about Metroid for the Famicom Disk System in another great Rebel In Japan. Then we ramble on about whether we think gaming is mainstream or not. DSgamer21, our resident virtuoso, also turns in another great tune, this time it’s the Jolly Roger track from Super Mario 64. Enjoy!

Rebel in Japan = best history lesson ever!
The cost of the disk system could increase in value as time goes on, so it isnt such a waste of money, and you still have an antique feeling of them, they are classics.

I can not lie, I’ve been waiting for this podcast since the last one. I love 4CR!

^^ This is a known problem with iTunes…
:(
octorok - 11.07.05 1:56 pm
This was the best piano piece you’ve put into your podcast so far.
Sagan - 11.07.05 2:06 pm
Yeah DSGamer is a genius
CoffeeMan - 11.07.05 3:34 pm
I remember reading that the famous music guy at Nintendo (Someone correct me here…) creates all his pieces on the piano.
Eddie - 11.07.05 11:17 pm
^^ Koji Kondo is known to compose on his piano…
octorok - 11.07.05 11:54 pm
Speaking of Koji Kondo…the other day at work we were listening to our Muzak radio and I heard this old time, rag time song. I swear to god it was the inspiration for the Mario theme music.
Honeslty, it was so close it was freaky. I have no way of finding out what it was, but I should would like to.

Can’t wait to get this podcast (as ever).. just reading Robotplague’s comment above, I suspect I get a mention on the cast too?..
I suspect I’m going to feel a tad sheepish once I hear what you’ve got to say though?!

Naw, we didn’t get the chance to make fun of you Leeds_guy. Not in the podcast. I just figured Id harass you anyway.
Nick - 11.08.05 11:24 am
Rebel In Japan . . . The disc version of Metroid DOES have a few different sounds. The sound of walking through doors in the game is somewhat different. Nothing major though . . . just a higher pitched sound. Over all though . . . not much changed between the disc version and the cart version. Being able to save your game to the disc is a big plus though.

eek..! Great podcast as ever guys, but I nearly crashed my car when I heard my dulcet Yorkshire accent coming out of my stereo! I’ve left another Skype message tonight so appologies in advance for my ramblings..:-)
