it reminds me of the N64 era !!! a new way, the N64 is my favorite, i played my best games in it, anyway mario for the REvo as a luch title will AWSOME!!! and following nintendo comback to the “bundle way” may be we gonna have a REVO+MARIO bundle, it will sell like “petit pains” I imagine people in ligne for a week to buy it ……GO REVO GO REVO GO REVO

MAcRAmaN on September 23, 2005 at 12:01 am

and an other thing did anyone notice that at E3 the revo unit showed was black ” to seem even more smaller because dark color virtualy reduce the volume of things…bla bla” and the controller showed at TGS is white to seem bigger, if they did show it in black it will be smaller and the details will be hard to see, that’s another proof of the genuises working at Nintendo…..

Gamecube was Nintendos only system to launch without a mario game and also sold the poorest. Coincidance?

N/A

Ghost on September 23, 2005 at 1:07 am

why the fuck can nobody spell around here? it’s “coincidence”. also, no webcomic guy ever can spell the word “definitely”. none of them.

I am sorry for my poor spelling. Yot are clearly a better person than I am and one with no faults. Sorry to ruin your day.

Because we are definite, we are defiant!

Vinnk on September 23, 2005 at 1:39 am

Oh noes! I did it again! It is “you” not “Yot”. I really should be banned from this site. Because I am probably the only bed speller on the internet. WHen i am gone. There will never be another spelling error. Thank you Ghost! You have saved the internet! God bless you Ghost!

“why the fuck can nobody spell around here? it’s “coincidence”. also, no webcomic guy ever can spell the word “definitely”. none of them.”

Why the fuck can nobody use correct capitalization around here? Are you daft? Did your mother snort various illegal substances while you floated in her womb? Or do you just have a small penis?

Lesson: If you are a spelling-whore on the internet, you’re retarded.

Mmmm. That controller looks so close I could touch it. I WANT.

Also, as happy as I would be to get a Rev Mario title at launch, I am worried about whether it will destroy the competition as much as we hope. The N64 had Mario 64 at launch, which freaking ruled in every possible sense of the phrase, and that still wasn’t enough to put Nintendo back on top where they belong.

They are really going to have to pull out the big guns to dethrone Sony and fend off Microsoft.

I thought Macraman almost saying he wants Mario as a LUNCH title was the funniest mistype in this thread. PS: Yeh, the controller looks very lovely!

N/A

NekoTsukimi on September 23, 2005 at 9:06 am

Kyaaaa, it looks so tiny!!!! Tinier than the video of it. Looks like it’ll be borderline just right in my small American hands and like a Tic Tac in practically any guy’s hand XD

N/A

Joseph on September 23, 2005 at 9:34 am

Definitely much smaller than I was expected too. My brother made the papercraft version and said that it’s very nice to hold. I guess there’s a big difference in that… but still.

Thanks G4 for giving us an incredibly lame interview that gives us pretty much no new information.

The version Iwata is holding has ‘x’ & ‘y’ buttons. I hope the final version has the button labeled x & y, not a & b.

I just wanted to share my idea for Mario Revolution. It’s pretty cool, but it takes a bit to explain it. Here goes.

The basic idea is that it would use the nunchaku controller. The control stick attachment would be used in much the same way as it is now in games
like Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine. You could do everything Mario could do before.

Here’s where it gets interesting. The remote would be controlling a sidekick character (Miyamoto recently mentioned Mario having
a new sidekick) who is tethered to Mario through some sort of rubber band. The character normally would sit alongside Mario, but when you wanted to use the character, you would place both controllers near each other, press the A button, and begin to pull them apart in 3-D space. What
would result on the screen is the sidekick being pulled anywhere around Mario. Since it is elastic, the remote would rumble slightly when you
reached the tension point of the band. You could use this sidekick to lift Mario, or just reach items, or even use him as a weapon. Imagine pulling the remote towards yourself and letting the A button go, sending the sidekick swinging around Mario or into enemies with realistic physics.

The reason I think this would work so well is because it is directly related to the tethered control system of the Revolution controller. It
would be extremely innovative, allowing for new types of worlds that take advantage of the two linked heroes. At the same time, it would be very
intuitive, since every action you make would correspond to actions onscreen. It would feel just as if you are stretching a (albeit
high-tech) rubber band between your hands.

I couldn’t wait to get this idea out. I am hoping that the next Mario uses something like this.

Anyone with connections feel free to get this idea up top to Miyamoto!

Fush, you essentially described a 3d version of Knuckles Chaotix, with Mario. And gyroscopes.

God damn. The A button in that pic is just gagging for a nice firm press.
