And yes, Mario was technically around before 85. He was in Donkey Kong, but known as Jumpman. Then he was in the Mario Bros arcade game. However, Nintendo is celebrating this as his anniversary because this is 20 years from when the first Super Mario game, for the NES (well, Famicom in Japan), came out.

This is just silly speculation, but I wonder if Nintendo intend to release some information about the Revolution today..
Remember the EGN quote from shiggy?
“Revolutions only happen every 20 years!(Laughs)”

^^^ lol… Give it a rest already
People are looking for every possible reason for them to reveal the Revolution.
Just wait a little longer… We’ll know soon enough

Wow, looking at that Wiki, I’d never heard of Great Giana Sisters! That’s so awesome. I do know of the guy who did the theme song though, weird.

Mario is 20year WOW 20 year!
And on his day Nintendo releses Gameboy Micro.
This gets me thinking on what happends next year in August if I recal correctly. August 2006 when Samus Aran grand day of 20year of history will come.
Didn’t Iwata-san say he had special plans for the Metroid next genaration. I’m just guessing / hoping!
It’s time for me to play Super Mario Bros so, Here’s to you Mario. Happy Birthday!
Let go save the Princess and all the little Toadies!
