This week Im like a finely tuned machine.* Haha. We talk a little Nintendo Mobility, I reminisce about Sega and Octorok talks about his Revolution dream. Coffeeman also keeps us updated on the 4cr tournaments. And yes, I promise to get a pop filter for my mic by next week.
Also, the 4cr podcast works in iTunes! Head on over to the ‘Podcast‘ page on the sidebar to find out how to add the feed to your iTunes.
*Since I recorded this piece I found out that Spartan Total Warrior has been pushed back to October 25th. Someone mentioned it way back in my ‘Games Of September’ article, but I somehow missed it. Whoops. Also, I said ‘Lost Blade’ when I really meant ‘Last Blade.’ And I forgot Power Stone! Damn ad-libbing.

Wicked idea, Octorok
N Rumas - 09.12.05 10:28 am
(I’m writing as I listen)
Had me rolling. Didn’t see it comin.
HE-MAN sample’s brilliant
Question: What’s the music that plays during Coffeeman’s part?? I’m thinking Super Mario 2, but not sure. Incredible stuff.
N Rumas - 09.12.05 11:00 am
good one but you’ve got to get rid of the guy with the annoying voice and poetic sentances!
it’s sooo cheesey!
Superted - 09.12.05 12:01 pm
That “Mario Mushroom Kingdom” (cant remember the name…) game is already out there. Its called Second Life. (http://secondlife.com/) It has exactly the same features you stated. The only difference is: 1. It is played mostly by hardcore gamers who know some stuff about programming/modeling and stuff. And 2. you can buy the currency in that game with your real money. So if u want to buy something really expensive in the game you might have to exchange real money into game money.
But I have to say that I don’t really know much about that game since I never played it. So what I just said might as well be wrong in some aspects.

What’s the point of online ’second life’, ‘god’ games? To develop your character. Restriscting that freedom by having it to ‘fit in’ within a theme (for instance.. I don’t know… Mario) kind of destroys that.
Anyway, another, quite good, podcast. Didn’t like it as much as the first one though.
And ‘mobil’! lol!!
zooba - 09.12.05 1:13 pm
next one should be alot better:D
CoffeeMan - 09.12.05 2:26 pm
LOL!! Im with superted!!
octorok - 09.12.05 2:44 pm
^^^ WOW… Second life is very similar to what I was daydreaming about… but I had more of a “platforming” game in mind and less of an mmorpg. None-the-less 2nd life is impressive! I wish I had time for a second life! ;P
octorok - 09.12.05 2:51 pm
Keep up the quality work!
I’m lovin it!
dsgamer21 - 09.12.05 7:25 pm
Im telling you guys im working on a great song for 4cr.
Nintendofreak - 09.12.05 8:07 pm
Excellent.
SavageS - 09.12.05 8:12 pm
And searching “4 color rebellion” in iTunes will find it.
Vantes - 09.12.05 8:56 pm
Yes, the game described reminded me of ‘Second Life’. A very popular game, people have been making money off it too - designing items that are for sale. But, if the idea was executed by Nintendo in a way that was ‘pick up and play’ it could be a big hit. The creation tools in the game are quite difficult to learn and use.
But I’m enjoying the podcast. I enjoy your editorials, but as long as you keep them seperate from the news your provide.

Great podcasts guys I am looking forward to the next one. It really feels old school and nostalgic. It fits the theme and purpose of the site. Oh and octorok don’t change a thing man. You wouldn’t happen to have done an voce-overs in the past eh?
razorrush - 09.12.05 9:28 pm
the best part is “SEGA!” hahahahaha
Kydd - 09.12.05 10:55 pm
Still a good podcast, but…. no iTunes subscription?
You seriously have to do that.
Lord Turbine - 09.15.05 5:17 pm
Nevermind, I got it…. should have listened to the end first.
Lord Turbine - 09.15.05 5:39 pm
I thought this cast was mediocre. I thought there would be more news. Maybe some time can be cut from playing the jingles?
I suspect that the guy who did the platform MMO practiced a lot, but alas, he sounded really, really, cheesy. Please, don’t talk like that anymore.
Shushu - 09.19.05 3:29 am
Thanks for your constructive criticism. We cant wait to hear more from you on our future podcasts.
