Apparently there are three new characters, some green one, a grey one that looks like that blue fisher cat thing, and another one.

This game is for the Xbox..

Holy crap, one of those levels looks almost exactly like Big Blue from F-Zero GX, and another one looks a lot like Green Plant.

Pretty cool, but I’m not sure how it can possibly turn out to be much fun.

Just my oppinion, though.

I feel they need to create a classic Sonic-styled game (sidescrolling and such) withe 3D graphics on the consoles. Kind of like what Nintendo are doing with Super Mario Bros DS. I don’t know, all these Sonic spinoffs don’t appeal to me much.

The general public tends to overlook console sidescrollers though, so the closest thing you’ll get is what will be available for handhelds (namely Sonic Rush).

It’s kinda sad that Sonic has so much trouble going to 3D. Maybe Sega should get Nintendo to help them.

Aaagh nooooo! I was under the impression that this would be a direct sequel to Sonic R, as in the characters would actually be on FOOT which is the only thing that makes sense in a Sonic game!

Another Sonic game announced.. and yet.. they still ignore Bunny Rabot, and Princess Sally. C’mon, Sega.. stop creating new sucky characters.. and give us what we’ve always wanted.. a Sonic game set in the same “world view” as the Sonic Saturday AM show. (Not The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog - The GOOD Sonic cartoon…)

Oh god Phillip I can’t agree with you more. I’ve been wanting a Sonic game based on the comic book series/ SatAM cartoon for freaking ages.

The three new charcters are all birds, this game is on GC, PS2, XBOX. The Amy Rose boots make Sonic’s feet look bigger, and his hands were always like that (Ever read the Archie Comics?). Some playable characters are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Shadow?, The bird guys (Storm the Albatross, Jet the Hawk, and Web the Swallow), Cream (Rumored If you press D-up, you become Vannila. Heres the story:

In Sonic Riders, Dr. Robotnik has set up a speed challenge, and all the Sonic characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, Storm the Albatross, Jet the Hawk, Miles “Tails” Prower and Web the Swallow, have decided to compete. To the victor goes a Chaos Emerald.
