But yeah… cats really don’t interact with you much… only if they want to, and they sleep all the time :/

I love cats, but a realistic cat sim would suck unless they make it really good.

I’ll admit that I’m more of a “cat person” than a “dog person”, but I think that in terms of gameplay, a cat simulator wouldn’t be all that much fun. Watch your virtual cat sleep in the sunbeam all day! Clean the litterbox! Watch him lick himself! etc…

Hey, Nintendogs isn’t a dog simulator, so this wouldn’t be a cat simulator! They’d make sure that this one is fun too. Enough with the cat-hating.

Personally, I think it would be more cool to expand the Nintendog technology into a virtual zoo keeper type game. That would be cool.

Kittens, man. Kittens are social as all crazy-social-animals. Cats, I would agree on–full-grown cats, that is. But kittens love to play around with EVERYTHING. Even my full-grown cats still chase each other around from time to time. And run into walls.

Cats aren’t as anti-social as people seem to think.

The game should have a tilt sensor, to make the cat toys more fun than just ‘touching’…. as well as…. A RUMBLE FEATURE for purring!!!

As the person above said, kittens are very fun and active, not to mention 10 times more adorable and tiny than puppies IMHO

The only problem I can see is that the breeds wouldn’t look as noticeably different in appearance and stature as the various dog breeds out there, so they’d have to get some really bizarre and different breeds in order to differentiate them (i.e. Sphynx, the hairless wonder! Perhaps a Cornish Rex, the curly-haired cat… and a Scottish Fold, with folded ears! And Munchkins, the cats with short legs like a dachsund). As for normal breeds, I would like to see a good balance between long and short-haired breeds, as well as breeds with striking fur/eye-color differences (I’m thinking Siamese with their bright blue eyes, long muzzle, short-hair coat and tell-tale markings vs. perhaps Maine Coone with signature VERY long, fluffy coat and green/gold eyes, or a Himalayan with the more scrunched face, etc).

Wow, that was a long post. Haha. I just love kitties so much and I’d love a kittie game to complement Nintendogs.

As much as I love cats and think that they are ten times as cute as dogs, they can be way too self-independant for a Tamagotchi-esque game. They even clean up after themselves.
