[Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Indiana Jones…oh my!]

If theres a will, theres a way. LucasArts adventures are now on the DS. If you havent invested in the homebrew WifiMe stuff, now is the time. Monkey Island, here I come!
Check out the link below to get you started on a path towards enlightenment:

I always thought Monkey Island looked awesome. I would really like to play it.

btnheazy03 - 07.31.05 7:28 pm
Day of the Tentacle … *sniff*
Also, what are the chances of a Grim Fandango port …
btnheazy03 - 07.31.05 7:30 pm
Too bad you need a device to get this working. But the fact that it lets you use the stylus already makes this a better version than the PSP Scumm.

I have to go and get my DS at home, DOH!

OH MY GOD! I am in total shock. This is so fantastic! I have to get this working asap.
Dejital - 07.31.05 8:49 pm
I’m playing it now !
It’s great but there only one problem; the text is not very clear
But it cool anyway

JApANLOVER - 07.31.05 9:40 pm
CONGRATS 4CR. YOU HAVE JUST MADE MY DAY!
I CAN PLAY DoTT, IJ:FoA, MI, FT and maybe even Grim Fandango. Omg. OMG!
VideoGamerJ - 07.31.05 9:42 pm
VideoGamerJ, how you will play all those games ?
Is there a way to put them on the DS by ourself ?
Nicol@s - 07.31.05 10:00 pm
No chance of Grim Fandano, allow me to tell you that..
Dejital - 07.31.05 10:40 pm
“Also, what are the chances of a Grim Fandango port”
Absolutely zero.

I’m still wondering how ScummVMDS works (buying a PassMe at the moment). The adventure games created by LucasArts use a very specific resolution, the DS’s bottom screen being too small to fit it. From the screenshots, though, the images don’t look distorted at all.
Dejital - 07.31.05 11:54 pm
“Absolutely zero.”
Unless, of course, LucasArts itself does the port.
Whose chance is also absolutely zero.
btnheazy03 - 07.31.05 11:57 pm
Wonderous news. This has 100% made my day!
PAINPAINPAIN - 08.01.05 5:09 am
Lucas really should take note. DS owners seem to do nothing but talk about these games. With the SCUMM port already in good working order, this would literally be free money for them.
zigg - 08.01.05 9:01 am
So what exactly do I need to play MI and all that?
A flashcart (any specific kind?), ScummVM, a copy of the game, and that’s it?
Rynen10K - 08.01.05 3:18 pm
great news…it seems like a perfect match. i don’t have the time/money/patience to deal with wifime, so it looks like i’ll have to pass this up for now.
rynen10k, the news article links to a tutorial on what you need and how to do it.
zigg, you’re absolutely right…however, that doesn’t seem to be the way lucas works…in fact, i think lucas arts is run by complete retards who have no idea what sells.
