Jesus Christ, that AC/TM boxart is horrid!

Why do marketers think we Americans can’t handle Japanese/European Boxart, or hell, even the name.

Well, saying “Hey, I’m gonna go play another code.” can be confusing..

Um, the artwork.. or rather the picture of Ashley on the cover of all three is the same. The Japanese one is that image of her on a white background with a bright ass-ugly orange stripe.

I think the artwork for all the regions sucks.

I agree Philip.

Besides, I don’t even look at the boxart once I take the game out of the box. The games stay in my DS carrying case. Also, I end up recycling most of the packaging for my GBA games.

The Japanese Boxart is OK. The European and US one suffer a lot from abysmal choice of typeface on the cover.

Hmm… if Metroid Prime Pinball comes out at the end of October, it’s likely that Hunters is coming out later than that… so I guess we’re looking at a Holiday 2005 release?

Yeah, but it’s valid to bitch about the boxart, because bad boxart means far fewer glass-case game shoppers are even going to give it a shot. Plus, you know, it’s pretty to look at. :-)

Anyway, the big stripe on the Japanese boxart is intended to resemble similar stripes on novels, playing off the notion of AC being an interactive story of sorts. The stripe would have made no sense in the US, but I still would have liked to see the rest of the art make it over.

Full length movie’s on GBA? Wow, that’s pretty cool. I doubt it’ll work (read: look good)for actual movies, but a great idea for cartoons. I must admit, I’m suprised that the movies fit on a GBA cart.

I don’t mind the art except for the Trace Memory font. boo.

The font’s cool, but it’s being used too large… it actually matches the Japanese boxart’s font well.

What really sucks is the font on the European packaging. Shame, because the European art is otherwise pretty decent.

you guys would bitch about anything. the trace memory boxart isn’t ugly at all. just because it’s not overly simple like a lot of japanese ds boxart doesn’t mean it sucks. quit yer bitchin’
