Hello Player 1
[Now Playing| Meteos - DS]
I never played the original X-Men Legends…how was it? The sequel looks pretty cool. Check out some pics and videos here:
Also check out some new screens of the fighting game from EA, Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects:

If you can get 3 other friends together and play this game, it’s really awesome!
I never played it alone, but my friend said the AI was really horrible.

X-Men Legends’ gameplay is somewhat boring in one-player mode, but the game is not bad at all, and an essential purchase for any X-Men fan, as it is the first decent X-Men game in ages.
But it truly shines in multi-player co-op mode, where mayhem runs rampant, and the need for team coordination really shows players what it is like to be a X-Man.

I really really enjoyed X-Men Legends single player mode, I hadn’t read an X-men comic for like 8 years (I couldn’t belive it has been 10 years since Age of Apocalypse), playing X-men Legends made me want to start reading the comics again.
It is with out a doubt the best Cube game I bought this year, I’m really looking forward to the next one, although I don’t like the idea of controlling brotherhood members, I would rather use X-men, please O god don’t let Iceman or Jean Grey be dropped in this game in favour of Brotherhood Mutants.

If you’ve ever played the Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance game(s) for the consoles (only the 1st one made it to the Cube) the X-Men game is just really another version of those games, but a few notches better.
First time I played this game after picking it up used for $20 was co-op with my girlfriend’s dad (of all people) and he had such a fun time just destroying the landscape (I hear Legends 2 has more destructive enviroments).
I found the solo game unfulfilling, but the gameplay shines in multi-player.
Oh, and Flamecondor, I hear what you’re sayin about Iceman…he was my fav in this game!
Anyway, Legends 2 will really have to move the gameplay forward (more than what I’ve seen so far) for me to consider purchasing it at launch. If not, I’ll just grab another used copy later or wait for an eventual price drop.

I never picked up the first X-Men Legends. If I see it going for £10, I’d probably buy it. Anyway, I’ll be buying number two, and can’t await it.

It’s pretty fun single player if you don’t mind mindless gaming. It’s obviously more of a blast with other people, even just one.

I traded it in after a week. The actual gameplay was nice but whats up with not having multiplayer until you find certain characters? And I hated having to go the multiple menus to upgrade characters every 5 min. Looks like they are addressing all these in the sequel.

Marvel Nemesis looks like fun, but I really hope they come up with some defensive moves to balance out the combat. I’m hyped about the Story Mode, though.

X-Men Legends = Fantastic Co-op
My friends and I are playing through it the 3rd time.

And just to add to that, X-Men Legends single player is very very bad, unlike the Multiplayer which is very very fun. Nick, if you have 3 guys to play with, this is your game.
