The DS game Brain Training vol 1 is surprising everyone. Nintendo just reported that the game has sold 101,000 in just three weeks. Cool. Especially since this isnt considered a ‘game’ by the hardcore and the people who are mainly buying it are adults and females.
Miyamoto even said that his parents have been asking him to make a game they could play since he started at Nintendo. He said that they were eagerly antipating this and were getting a copy the day it came out. Cool.

Wait, Miyamoto said that? I thought Iwata said that.
Is NCL starting to make up stories for their execs to tell? :/

ZIGG: I know what you mean, I have heard iwata, and reggie repeat the same things many times. I have only heard miyamoto repeat himself…no one else speaks like that.

Im pretty sure it was Miyamoto. I dont think I ever heard Reggie say it. Iwata…who knows.

It was Miyamoto who said it. And… 101,000 in only three weeks?!? That’s unheard of for games like this! Incredible!

DS is doing very well. Nintendo means definate business. Once Animal Crossing and Mario Kart go live, the hardcore gamers will flock and Nintendogs in America is remaining to be seen, but if advertised correctly, we could truely have a revolution on our hands.
As for this game, I played the demo and loved it. Voice recognition was damn good, although about 10% of the time it would pick up background noise or register mistakes on the right answer. The math section was also well. The game distinguished my number writing appropriately and I was able to get 100% on one of the turns. It wasn’t flawless, but it was still good.
I only hope this good software can be marketed correctly over in the US and Europe.

Is this kind of program worth 30 dollars to Americans? I would pay 20.
