Nintendo Updates Revolution Info

On Nintendo’s official website, they have an article called “Nintendo Reveals Early Details About Revolution”

It was said, earlier this week, that Nintendo would use for the Revolution media format a standard double-layered DVD discs but it was changed today.

Nintendo’s legions of loyal fans will be happy to learn that Revolution will be backward compatible, playing both Nintendo GameCube 8cm disks along with its own 12cm optical disks in the same self-loading media drive.

So, i guess this means that they won’t be supporting DVD movie playback. Certainly keeping costs down and piracy at bay.
