Awesome. I still have the Metroid comic that ran in Nintendo Power too. That was a great read. Along with Zelda and Star Fox.

This comic is great. I have read it multiple times. The only thing I don’t like is that this is the only translated issue. And I don’t speak or read Japanese.
And I’m sad that I missed the Metroid Prime comics in Nintendo Power.

P.S. Does anyone know where I could find more translated Metroid comics?

I wasn’t aware Samus had a sympathetic side until this manga, since you spend most of the games doing nothing but killing.

It was all confusing and stupid until I found out that you’re supposed to read it from right to left.

Then it was just stupid.

And why is everybody making Samus with blonde hair? Anybody who played the original should know that she has green hair.

Maybe I should say that the translation was stupid. “Ah, Samus.” “Ah, Boss.” “Ah, Grandpa Bird.” “Sir Ridley!” “All your base” anyone? The text was pretty immature. “Ah, Samus, it happened so quickly I didn’t realize it had happened, but you’ve grown up.” Reminds me of those old school RPGs like Final Fantasy (the first one) and Lufia. Don’t get me wrong, I loved those games. You just have to admit that the text was pretty, um, first grade. And even then, (back to the Metroid comic) some of the pages seemed out of order and/or completely unrelated.

The art was good, though.

I’m still disappointed about the blonde hair.
