I’m sorry to say, but looks as if Mario Kart GP will not be comming to the Gamecube in the near future. Namco and Nintendo have no plans outside of the Japanese arcade market. I still want to get my shot on one of these arcade machines, looks like a trip to Japan is in place

its probably best since now only a few people will see how namco ruined mario kart

One mario kart per system is enough anyways, maybe they can port it over to the revolution with better graphics.

I read the article, and he didnt give a definitive no. He just said that nothing has been announced but to keep your ears open for more. I still think it is a possibility. They wouldnt announced it for gamecube now, because many people who are going to check it out in the arcades, would simpy wait for the gamecube version to be released.

It is considered a racial slur to use the term “Jap.” I know you didn’t mean it that way but it is best to correct it. Just a FYI.

Fixed. I wonder how much these machines cost, and if its possible to import one.

You want to import a Mario Kart GP machine? I’d guess over $10,000. Easy
Also, they haven’t officially announced anything, so i’m sure there is still some chance these machines may see the light of day over here.
As for a GC release… i’m guessing this game was made specifically for the arcades, and probably won’t translate well to a console game.

Heh heh. I’ve played Mario Kart GP. Not in Japan, in the United Kingdom, in Sheffield. The first arcade machine of it out of Japan. If you live near Sheffield (if you live in the uk
) get down to the Namco Arcade! Theres over 100 items in the game!!

I just won the powerball…so in a few months when I get my check, I’m gonna get two of these bad boys.
Matt Luckett - 05.07.05 2:26 pm
If you won the powerball then have I mentioned how dashing you look lately?
hokku - 05.07.05 3:39 pm
Matt Luckett did yu hear about this?
(Sorry for being off topic!…)

Frankly, why port it to a console?
I’d like it better if it came to US arcades, and stayed there…
handpuppet - 05.07.05 6:17 pm
i could see this making it to some american arcade, an arcade near me has Fzero AX its pritty awsome.
Kydd - 05.07.05 6:46 pm

Why NOA, WHY!!!
luigi7667 - 05.07.05 8:47 pm
I still thing there’s a great chance of it ending up on the cube…
namor7 - 05.07.05 9:04 pm
I serously doubt this’ll end up on the cube. I feel as if Nintendo or Namco would’ve said something official by now.
