Tim Schuerewegen, the man who was reportedly working with TeamXLink writing a custom windows driver for the RT2500 wireless chipset, has successfully downloaded and run mutliboot code on the DS wirelessly from a PC. The execution method is the same as the passme; redirect ARM7 execution to the GBA cart/slot (0×08000000) and capture the ARM9.
What does this mean? With Tims driver (when released) and a compatible RT2500 wireless card/usb adapter you can download and run homebrew code without a passme. This magical driver also opens the doors for a REAL tunnelling solution as long as these geniuses continue to work on it.

Not completely for unix or mac at all I hope…
This is a great discovery, that second video was the only thing I needed to see. Amazing stuff. Does this also mean that we can download Band Brothers songs?
Dejital - 04.10.05 8:47 pm
Dejital: Only can download bandbrothers songs, if someone captures the packets from one of the Japanese kiosks.

thank the heavens.

Well, as long as it isn’t planned for release in the month of April next year…

I’m not all that tech-savvy, and I’m still trying to figure out just what this stuff means, but even I can see that these people are geniuses. Amazing stuff.

Well, this is cool, but what Tim’s done is managed to boot code off a GBA flash cart — homebrew yes, homebrew without extra hardware no. Just from perusing the last few pages of the thread I see that he’s discovered that the downloaded binary is digitally signed, so arbitrary code cannot be executed unless there’s a GBA flash cart present, basically.
It’s progress, but it’s hardly wireless multiboot completely and totally figured out…
zigg - 04.11.05 8:07 am
Well, yeah. It uses the same method as the passme… I guess I forgot to mention that for people ‘not in the know’.

Hey Dejital! Weren’t you the guy who hosted jadrule’s ds link up hoax?
Daniel - 04.11.05 12:25 pm
That second video isn’t working. I wanna see!

Don’t blame Dejital. He did host the site for a while, but he wasn’t affiliated with Jadrule at all. He simply helped out with the forums and hosted Jadrule’s website in the off chance that it was legitimate. He did nothing wrong.
Zork - 04.11.05 8:13 pm
Actually, Dejital did the whole thing. He was responsible for a previous Nintendo wireless hoax as well, which he hosted on his own website. There was no Jadrule, it was all handled by Dej.
