Well, April is upon us and so are some new games. Not much in the way of Cube games, but there are a couple of definte buys for the DS and a few possible buys for the GBA. My wallet needs a break after March anyway.

After the combo of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory last month, this month will feel a little dry. Actually, it will feel very dry. There isnt anything of note even coming to the Cube this month. Ah well, Ive still got plenty of games to beat!

Polarium
Polarium (04.18.05)

Nintendo brings its own brand of puzzle game to the DS. Simple, elegant and hard as balls. The meat of this game is a mode with 100 puzzles, each getting increasingly difficult. It also has a continuous Tetris type mode and multiplayer features.

Also, the game allows you to create your own puzzles and share them via a password system. Nintendo of Japan has already released some new ones. Check the forums, where Ive uploaded some of the puzzle codes.

Pac-Pix
Pac-Pix (04.26.05)

Pac-Pix, which originally started out as a tech-demo, has evolved into a full game. Already praised in Japan, we will finally get it this month. Im not sure how long the game is, but it sure looks fun. Ive been looking forward to this game since I first saw it at last years E3. Ill let you guys know what I think once I get it.

Twisted
Wario Ware Twisted! (04.21.05) (05.23.05)

EDIT: Whoops, delayed another month.

Enjoyed any of the previous Wario Ware games? Well, this is supposedly the best. Yup, even better than the brand new DS Wario Ware Touched. In fact, some of the challenges in Touched! were taken from Twisted! Just dont expect to play this one in public without some very strange looks.

After months of delays, even though the game was finished, this baby will finally ship. Nintendo delayed it as to not hurt Wario Ware Touched! sales. Now Wario Ware can fill both slots on your DS at the same time (oh the filth!).

Pac-Man Pinball
Pac-Man Pinball (04.–.05)

In the vien of Mario Pinball, Pac-Man now has his own pinball game. Like Mario Pinball, the game almost takes a more platform-esque approach to the game. However, I think that, fundamentally, this should work better for Pac-Man. I guess we will have to wait and see how it turns out.

On a side note, I picked up Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Saphirre a few days ago. This game is great. I found it for $15. If you happen to see this, defintely pick it up.
