So, I had about an hour to play Yoshi Touch & Go today in class. At first I didnt really understand what to do. Then, I started to see what was going on, but realized that this game is actually challenging. Finally, before I had to go I was able to get the hang of it and I was really digging it.
Ive read a lot of reviews for this game. For some reason, people seem to think this is supposed to be Yoshi’s Island 2. Hello, all you wonderful gaming journalists, this is a puzzle game! And you know what? IGN actually understood this and probably had the best take on the game. Bravo.
Anyway, Ive already been infected by this charmer…while driving home I was seeing little things and wanting to draw circles around them and shoot eggs at them. This game is a breath of fresh air. Its all about the high score. I love it.
Im planning to do a write-up on friday. Until then, check out a few reviews of the game. You can tell who played the game for more than 5 mins:

God, I love this game. I can’t wait for Kirby.

Right on. Man, I can’t wait to play this game. I think I’m gonna buy it for my wife. Speaking of IGN/Gamespy, for the last couple months, they’ve not only been the most positive on Nintendo, they’ve also featured reviews that actually UNDERSTAND Nintendo games and appreciate them for what they are, unlike Gamespot, 1up, and so many others.

Yeah, Ive seen a turnaround with IGN also. They are what is refered to as ‘fair weather Nintendo fans.’ Ive really been enjoying their coverage lately, but I bet that once things die down again, they will go back to being very apathetic. I hope not, but its hard to think otherwise with their previous attitudes.
We will see.
