[Now Working On| NES Typography Book]

Here are a couple of Pacman related memorabilia. The fuzzy things are actually hats that Namco showed off at the recent AOU show. The second one, I believe, is a Nintendo DS stylus that is going to be included with Pac-Pix. I dont know about you, but I wouldnt mind having both.
On anther note, the Nintendo/Namco game Mario Kart Arcade GP won the best of AOU (Amusement Operators Union) award. Pretty cool. Hopefully it does well and we see it stateside sometime.

When i was a kid in the early 80’s, my dad found this rock on the beach in Grand Haven Michigan. This rock was really big and probably weighed 200 lbs. The rock was special because it was very round and had a 1/4 wedge cut out … My dad, who is normally a very conservative guy, dragged the thing to the car, took it back home with us (3 hours) and painted the thing bright yellow w/ a black mouth and black circle with wedge missing pac-man eye. It sat in our front yard for years. He even repainted it every few years. Man that was cool. I want to buy the man that hat.

Very cool stuff. Speaking of Mario Kart Arcade GP, anybody else think there’s a good chance of it showing up on the Cube? It’d be a simple port and easy money, plus it’d give people who haven’t yet decided to purchase Double Dash (like me!) a great alternative.

That stylus is so cool. Can’t wait to play the game! It’s awesome to see that Namco and Nintendo keep up a great relationship. Now if we can only get a port of Katamari Damacy…

For real. DS Damacy please!

BTW, Polish, that’s a totally classic story. I’m from Chicago and used to go there with my family too.

Never thought about DS Damacy… that would be awesome.

I wonder if the stylus fits in the Nintendo DS’s stylus slot. Also, I wonder if the stylus will come with the US version of Pac-Pix, assuming it will be released here.
A Katamari Damacy on the Nintendo DS would work well with the stylus. It could be similar to how Pac’n'Roll worked at E3, where you use the stylus to roll something around. Maybe they could both be in the same game! They are both Namco, after all.
