Here is a roundup of some news from the week:
A Donkey Konga 3 Site has opened. Sweet, 50 songs!
Atlus has opened a teaser site for Snowboard Kids for the DS. The text reads ‘NP V191 M05′ which I take to mean it will be revealed in Nintendo Power v191.
Nintendo will be a sponsor at Wimbledon. They will setup kiosks playing Mario Power Tennis and even have mascots entertain the crowd. I have to see pics of this!
People at the Warppipe forums are claiming to have seen a new Metroid Prime Hunters commercial that states the game is ‘coming soon.’ Interesting news, considering the game isnt supposed to drop for months. No official word yet…
Finally, here is a tribute site to the gaming mag Gameplayers. While I never read this mag back in the day I read through some of the stuff here and its insane. The guys over at RoBlog were right when they said, ‘They took the idea of EGM’s psycho letter of the month, expanded it, and turned it into an entire magazine. ‘ Funny stuff.
I heard about the Metroid Ads as you did, on the Warppipe forums, and quickly dismissed them as another internet rumor. Imagine my surprise when (during the OC, of all the crappy shows) I SAW the ad in question! It’s quite short, but it takes place in a cafeteria. A fly or something lands on some of the food, a guy touches it, and the entire warming tray thing explodes. The announcer then says (paraphrasing) “Don’t like something? Just touch it. Metroid Prime Hunters. Coming soon for the Nintendo DS.” Quite exciting. Great site, by the way!

Awesome, this is first sane response Ive heard about the commercial in question. All of the people at the Warppipe who claim to have seen it never told what it was about.

i wouldn’t put it past nintendo to release it in march like they originally planned. i think they said it was delayed till may because at the time, sony hadn’t set a date for the psp. now that they have, nintendo needs SOMETHING to come out in march.
